In this edition of Oorlog Stories, Antje shares her daily life during World War II, inspired by the remarkable story of Ans Buursma (94), a teenager at the time and daughter of an NSB member.

Her father’s affiliation had dramatic consequences for her life. The series explores the struggle of forming your own identity while being judged for your parent’s choices. It’s a story about nuance, breaking taboos, and seeing beyond quick judgments.
